Resale prices of private homes in Singapore climbed 0.2 per cent in July 2013 as compared to June 2013. In June, resale home prices declined 0.1 per cent from a month earlier. The price growth in July was due to higher prices of transactions recorded in the non-central region and for small units, according to the latest Singapore Residential Price Index (SRPI) flash estimates published by the National University of Singapore's Institute of Real Estate Studies.

Sales of new private homes rose 24%
According to statistics from URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore), demand for new private homes in Singapore rose in June 2013. Sales of new private homes rose around 23.8 percent in June to 1,806 units, compared to the previous month. The strong rebound in new private home sales in June was largely driven by demand for mass market homes.
Analysts expect demand for ECs to remain strong. Including ECs, 2,119 new homes were transacted in June, compared to 1,916 units sold in the previous month. Forestville in Woodlands was the best-selling EC project in June with 226 units sold. Next EC launch expected is at Sembawang – SkyPark Residences

- First applicant must be a Singapore Citizen, aged above 21 years. Second Applicant/Co-applicant can be a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident
- Both applicants must be either First Timer or Second Timer (Existing Owner/Ex-Owner of HDB Flat).
- Applicants must form a valid family nucleus to buy the EC flat under one of the HDB’s eligibility schemes: Public / FiancĂ© & FiancĂ©e / Orphan / Joint Single.
- Applicants combined household gross monthly income must not exceed SGD 12,000.
- Applicants and occupiers listed in the application form must not own or dispose of any private property within 30 months before the date of application and between the application date and the date of taking possession of the Executive Condominium flat.
- Applicants and occupiers not have bought two housing units before (a flat directly from HDB, resale flat with CPF Housing Grant, DBSS flat from developer or an EC unit from developer).
- Second-timer applicants who are Existing Owner or Ex-Owner (a flat, resale flat with CPF Housing Grant, DBSS flat from developer) must meet 5-year Minimum Occupation Period (excluding any period of subletting of whole flat) before application of a new EC.

There are 15 available EC Projects that has been launched recently (end 2012 till now). Another 6 sites are confirmed for sales.
